Breast Cancer Survivor

Breast cancer is not only affects to 'ordinary people' but celebrities also. Not only women, even men can also be affected. Based on bodyhealthdebate.co.uk, 1.3 million people of around the world have suffer breast cancer and 465 000 cases have been fatal. 
Here are world celebrities which can be an inspiration of how their efforts to confront and defeat the cancer and continue living! The point is healthy lifestyle should be done as prevention.  
1. Sheryl Crow
Former music teacher and later became a singer and composer, Sheryl Crow, now aged 49, diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in February 2006. Crow perform minimally invasive surgery and was followed by radiation therapy. She has make a documentary movie in 2007 with title "Crazy Sexy Cancer".
2. Kylie Minogue
Born in Melbourne, Australia, sexy pop star Kylie Minogue was diagnosed early stage breast cancer in May 2005. She 37 years old when decided to chemo and radiation therapy since most of women around 25-44 years old who choose  to biopsy is increase.
3. Olivia Newton John
Breast cancer survivor, Olivia Newton John was diagnosed in 1992. She is Kelly Minogue close friend and asked to the press to respect  to the privacy during Kelly Minogue going to breast cancer therapy. Olivia Newton John has released the album with title "Stronger Than Before" in 2005 to support breast cancer awareness. She also found the Olivia Newton John Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia.
4. Jaclyn Smith

Jaclyn Smith, who very popular as Kelly Garrett in Charlie's Angels serial TV  was diagnosed  breast cancer in 2002, 15 years after her friend in Charlie's Angels Kate Jackson (Sabrina Duncan), initiate to treat of the disease. 
5. Richard Roundtree
Roundtree played in several films and television show, but very popular as private detective John Shaft in the Shaft movie. Richard Roundtree is living proof that breast cancer does not only happened to women. He was diagnosed breast cancer in 1993. The actor then do chemo, radiation therapy and mastectomy (breast removal). Roundtree also working with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and active to advise his group that early detection is very important.
6. Cynthia Nixon

The star of Sex and the City serial, Cynthia Nixon was diagnosed breast cancer in 2002. Behind the scene, she concern to campaign and also active as a volunteer. She was success to convince NBC to broadcast her condition in prime time program. In 2008, Nixon became a spokeswoman and ambassador of the "Susan G. Komen for the Cure".
7. Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge (rock star and winning a grammy awards) was diagnosed breast cancer in the end of 2004. She also dedicate her song "Take a Little Piece of My Heart" to the breast cancer survivors  at around the world. This song also become the anthem of survivor.
8. Nancy Reagan
Former of U.S. first lady, Nancy Reagan was diagnosed in 1987. The Nancy Reagan Breast Center, a health care facility in California was built as a tribute to her.
